Yes you've read this right! These are the very first photos of a topless Lamborghini Aventador!
These pictures are of the brand new Lamborghini Aventador Spider LP760 that has been created in partnership by Refined-Marques and Oakley Design.
Details are being kept tight at the moment as to how exactly the roof will work but not only is their product available well in advance of the official Aventador Roadster launch expected in 2013, but it's the power boosted LP760 customised by Oakley Design.
Hopefully it won't be long before we can see exactly how it works, but the Aventador will have a yet further dimension added when it can be driven open-topped.
UPDATE: If you want to know what it sounds like we can now show you a video of the LP760 fitted with Oakley's Titanium Exhaust as it hits the dyno, added flames are a bonus:

Hm......
ReplyDeletehm... too!!!!
ReplyDeletePlastic on a lamborghini ? LOL
ReplyDeleteSomething doesn't look right here, there is no cut in the rubber seal around the door ... this would mean there is no removable roof section to create a full Roadster look ... or there are holes in the roof with removable panels that leave two beams running from the windshield to the back panel in front of the engine hood ... the latter would also mean they didn't have to worry too much about flexing the tub, which is what will happen without roof section. The Aventador has a full carbon tub, cutting the roof away would mean some serious stiffening ... leaving two beams on the outer extremities would counteract this and still give a feeling of open top motoring.
ReplyDeleteI work for Oakley Design. That not the spider that is just a two-tone roof that all oakley design aventadors have the spider from what I hear has a different engine cover similar to the reventon roadster an murcielago sv engine cover.
ReplyDeleteIf you worked for oakley design, you would notice the fact this roof is slightly different to the "normal" Aventadors roof, so it is not just a 2-tone roof. And you don't work for Oakley.
ReplyDelete"Refined Marques"...
ReplyDeleteAre you serious ?! lol
That's fake the new spider is much nicer ,I saw it ..
ReplyDeleteA dream car, love it,
ReplyDeleteExcellent creativity by Oakley Marques
